In the Fine Arts, the portrait is
considered one of the main genres of painting and graphics, the heart of
which inspires and commemorates "the beginning", immortalizing the human
appearance. The boundaries of this genre are extremely fluid and frequently
can be found combined with elements from other areas of the Fine Arts. Most
often, portraits are created directly from nature and are made in different
types: mid-length, half-length, full-length, en face, half-face, etc.
According to a number of characters, they are subdivided into individual,
companion and group.
The main
criterion of "portraitness" is its similarity to a person’s art image, which
one can achieve not only through conformity to external features, but also
through the revelation of model’s spiritual human essence, his mood or his
belonging to definite historical era, nationality or social circle. All
these and other components of a portrait are reproduced by an artist in
his/her individual and unique manner and represent the subjective vision of
the author.
On demand, the Artist will paint portraits
from photograph or live sittings. When ordering various composite and art
solutions are offered.
A good portrait is the ideal gift for a
loved one!
