Papier-mache (fr.
"papier mâché", literally – "crumpled paper") is an easily shaped mass
derived from fibrous materials (paper, pasteboard, etc.), usually with the
addition of glues, starches, stucco, etc. Masks, toys, plaster casts and
theatrical props are produced from papier-mache, frequently decorated by
murals, varnish or embossing. |
